Completion/Placement Rates

[Note: This information only includes students who began college at KCC in a fall semester as first-time, full-time, degree-seeking students as per the federal definition of the word cohort.]
In compliance with the Student Right-to-Know Act, the college has determined that neither of the two students entering KCC as first-time, full-time, degree-seeking students in the fall 2012 semester completed their programs at KCC within 150% of the published time.
Seventy-five percent of students who received bachelor’s degrees in the May 2018 graduating class are working in degree-related fields. Among those receiving associate degrees, 50% are continuing their studies, 30% are working in degree-related fields, and 10% are volunteering in degree-related fields.
The retention rate from fall 2017 to fall 2018 was 40% for first-time, full-time bachelor’s seeking students and 50% for first-time, part-time bachelor’s seeking students.
In a 2015 survey of KCC graduates who had gone on to pursue graduate studies at other institutions of higher learning since 2011, the college received GPA data for all but one such student. The average GPA for these students was an outstanding 3.89.

Preparation for Further Study

Our recent assessment of KCC students who have entered master’s degree programs in accredited universities and seminaries reveals how well KCC does in equipping students for further studies. For our former students who completed a program at KCC, the average grade point average in their graduate work was an outstanding 3.7. All of our graduates who entered master’s programs have completed them or are making excellent progress toward graduation.
