Associate of Arts in Business

The Associate of Arts within Business provides students with a solid grounding in essential principles and practices in business. Many students continue their education by pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Business, and ultimately a Master of Arts in Business Administration (MBA).

Program Objectives

• Explain, integrate, and apply foundational business knowledge in a work environment
• Exhibit proficiency in critical thinking and decision-making by applying appropriate solutions to strategic and organizational challenges
• Communicate effectively by producing the appropriate, professional-quality business documents and delivering oral and written presentations and reports using appropriate technologies
• Demonstrate effective collaborative skills, both as a leader and team member, exhibiting strong interpersonal relationship abilities and an understanding of group and individual dynamics within a business setting
• Apply appropriate leadership principles while working with people and processes within the profit and not-for-profit organizations.

Course Requirements:

• A minimum of 60 total semester hours of credit
• A minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA
• Professional Studies Requirements: 18 hours of credit
• General Studies Requirements: 30 hours of credit
• Bible & Theology Requirements: 12 hours of credit

Career and Ministry Opportunities for Business Graduates

Because the Associate of Arts degree also includes core academic courses in General Education, it lays the foundation for a bachelor’s degree or advancement in a variety of professional fields or ministry.
