Piper Bergquist has attended Overland Christian School for nine years, and is now in her senior year of high school. She was asked how OCS has impacted her life, and she gave this response.
“In nine years you can learn a lot, but imagine what you could learn in nine years at Overland Christian School! Overland Christian has been a blessing and at the same time made a huge impact on my life. I have been given the opportunity to not only play volleyball and basketball, but to have a hands-on learning experience while receiving a Christian education.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed having Mr. Nelson as my Bible teacher for the past two years–he is the one teacher I can without a doubt say has made a significant difference in my life. He has changed the way I view the Bible and how I see people. For example, I have noticed that Mrs. Linick always smiles even when she is frustrated. She says, ‘It’s okay to talk stern to someone as long as you smile at the end,’ and ‘When you’re upset while typing or texting some bad news, send a smiley face.’ Always remember, the same thing goes for you when you feel defeated or torn apart–you just need to smile and remind yourself that God has it under control.”
