Kansas Christian College is thrilled to announce the return of Dr. Gui Fadlalla to a full-time position as the Head Men’s Soccer Coach and Associate Athletic Director for Discipleship, effective July 1. This new role combines his remarkable coaching skills with his passion for leadership and ministry, furthering the college’s mission of integrating faith and education in developing future leaders.
Gui steps back into the Head Men’s Soccer Coach role following the departure of Luke Cottage who ran the soccer program during the 2024-2025 school year. In Coach Cottage’s only year at KCC he led the men’s team to the regional championship and a spot in the NCCAA Division II National Championship. Coach Cottage recently announced his departure after accepting a position as the Men’s Soccer Coach at Hastings College in Hastings, Nebraska. We are grateful for his service at KCC.
Under Gui’s leadership as the founding coach of the program, the KCC soccer team has achieved significant milestones, including consecutive Southwest Region Championships in 2017 and 2018 and a Central Region Championship in 2023. His strategic guidance has led the team to three appearances at the NCCAA Division II National Championships, showcasing our athletes’ talents on a national stage. Gui’s tenure as coach has not only been marked by a commendable record of 64-45-3 but also by his profound impact on our student-athletes, instilling in them values of teamwork, perseverance, and sportsmanship.
Gui will return as Head Soccer Coach and spearhead the integration of a discipleship culture across our athletic programs, nurturing spiritual growth among students and working with coaches to effectively disciple the student-athletes. Additionally, he will serve as a faculty member, teaching courses in Sport Management and Ministry.
Dr. Chad Pollard, President of Kansas Christian College, expressed his enthusiasm about Gui’s new position: “I am confident that Gui’s diverse roles at KCC will harmonize effectively, leveraging his strengths, gifts, and deep passion for ministry that he has consistently demonstrated. These responsibilities not only align with his extensive experience but also ensure significant student interaction, which is a key aspect of why we are eager to have him back on campus. Gui’s involvement across coaching, discipleship, and teaching will profoundly impact our community, reflecting our commitment to holistic education and spiritual growth.”
Gui Fadlalla’s appointment is a testament to Kansas Christian College’s dedication to excellence in both athletics and a Christ-centered education. The KCC community looks forward to the continued success and development of our athletic and academic programs under his leadership and influence.
