DJ Linick graduated Summa Cum Laude from Oklahoma Wesleyan University in 2017, with a bachelor’s degree in Secondary English Education. While in school, he tutored reading and math at Wayside Elementary in Bartlesville, OK, for grades K-5. In the fall of 2018 he came to Overland Christian School, where he teaches high school English and Spanish and runs a weekly chess club.
Though this is only his second year of teaching, he is far from a stranger to this campus. He attended OCS from grades 5-12, took concurrent college classes at KCC during his senior year, and served as a substitute teacher for OCS during the 2017-2018 school year. He attends Gregory HIlls Church of God (Holiness) and enjoys a close-knit relationship with his dad, mom, two brothers. and sister-in-law.
How does DJ feel about teaching at OCS? “Teaching at OCS is the most fulfilling part of my life, as I imagine all ‘callings of God’ feel. Being a teacher here doesn’t feel like a job; it is a ministry which I am blessed to have a role in. I consider my Christian schooling an indispensable factor of what made me who I am today, and it is a blessing to participate in keeping the tradition of Christian education alive and thriving.”
