Associate of Arts in Leadership and Ministry

The Associate of Arts in Leadership and Ministry provides students with an  introductory understanding of ministry that is consistent with scripture and proven leadership principles.  Many students continue their education by pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Leadership and Ministry.

Program Objectives

• Confidently express God’s calling on his/her life.
• Demonstrate an understanding of the principles of effective leadership in the local church.
• Competently interpret and proclaim the Word of God.
• Responsibly plan various services conducted in the local church.

Completion Requirements

• A minimum 60 total semester hours of credit
• A minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA
• Professional Studies Requirements: 18 hours of credit
• General Studies Requirements: 30 hours of credit
• Bible & Theology Requirements: 12 hours of credit

Career and Ministry Opportunities for Leadership and Ministry Graduates

Because the Associate of Arts degree also includes core academic courses in General Education, it lays the foundation for a bachelor’s degree or advancement in a variety of professional fields or ministry.
